Software 058-09 Software Engineer Job Description: The candidate will design and develop applications. He/She shall develop Linux drivers for new and existing driver modules, to include: new feature enhancements as defined by the Program Manager and client. They shall provide quality assurance and maintenance support and shall also provide 24/7 operational support on an “as-needed” basis. On-call support shall be based on an expertise-based call-in roster. |

Required Skills: • 2.4 and 2.6 Linux kernels • Architectural differences • Custom kernel compilation • Linux device driver development • Architectural differences • Kernel interface/communication mechanisms • C/C++ object oriented (OO) design/development (5+ years) to include: • Multi-threaded programming (message queues, threading, semaphores, spinlocks, etc.) • OO techniques • Linux operating system • IP network technologies and protocols • Application development for Linux operating system Degree: BS or equivalent degree, preferably in the computer related field. Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland Clearance: Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full screening polygraph.
